1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the Vault Markets Christmas & New Year Trading Championship ("Competition" or "Championship"). By participating, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

2. Championship Period

• Registration Opens: December 15, 2025
• Competition Start: December 26, 2025 at 00:00 (SAST)
• Competition End: January 10, 2026 at 23:59 (SAST)
• Winners Announcement: January 13, 2026

3. Competition Tracks

Live Account Championship (R 97 000 Prize Pool)

• Open to verified Vault Markets clients with funded live trading accounts
• Any account type is permitted
• 5 prize positions available

Demo Account Challenge (R 3 000 Prize Pool)

• Open to all registered users with demo accounts
• 3 prize positions available
• Winners receive live trading capital

4. Eligibility and Participation

• Participants must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a registered Vault Markets account
• Live Track requires account verification and funding
• Demo Track open to all registered users
• Employees of Vault Markets and their immediate family members are not eligible
• Participants may only use one account per track

5. Competition Entry Requirements

• Minimum Volume: $1,000,000 USD traded volume during the competition period
• Profitability: Must finish the competition with positive net PnL (in profit)
• Trade Counting: Only CLOSED trades count toward volume calculation
• Excluded Trades: Hedged or offset positions are strictly excluded from volume calculation

6. Scoring and Rankings

Rankings are determined by total USD traded volume during the competition period. The positive PnL requirement is a qualifying criterion only — traders must finish in profit, but final rankings are based purely on traded volume.

Calculation Formulas:

• Net Profit: Final Balance − Starting Balance − Deposits + Withdrawals
• PnL %: (Net Profit / (Starting Balance + Deposits)) × 100

7. Prizes

Live Account Championship Prizes (R 97 000):

• 🥇 1st Place: R 35 000 Cash
• 🥈 2nd Place: R 25 000 Travel Voucher
• 🥉 3rd Place: iPhone 16 (valued at R 20 000)
• 4th Place: Wellness Smartwatch (valued at R 10 000)
• 5th Place: Advanced Trading Course (valued at R 7 000)

Demo Account Challenge Prizes (R 3 000):

• 🥇 1st Place: R 2 000 Live Trading Capital
• 🥈 2nd Place: R 750 Live Trading Capital
• 🥉 3rd Place: R 250 Live Trading Capital

8. Prize Fulfillment and Substitution

• Prizes will be awarded within 30 business days of winner verification
• Cash prizes will be credited directly to winners' trading accounts
• Physical prizes may be substituted with cash equivalents at Vault Markets' sole discretion
• Prize values are approximate and subject to market conditions
• Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes in their jurisdiction

9. Winner Selection and Notification

• Winners will be determined based on final rankings at competition close
• Winners will be notified via email within 5 business days of the competition end
• Winners must respond to notification within 7 days or forfeit their prize
• Vault Markets reserves the right to verify all trades and account activity
• Any discrepancies or suspicious activity may result in disqualification

10. Company Rights and Modifications

• Vault Markets reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time
• Changes to these Terms will be communicated via email and/or platform notification
• All decisions by Vault Markets regarding the competition are final and binding
• Vault Markets may disqualify any participant for violation of these Terms

11. Fair Play Policy

The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification:

• Creating multiple accounts to participate more than once
• Manipulating trades or exploiting platform vulnerabilities
• Collusion with other participants
• Using automated trading systems designed to exploit the competition
• Any form of fraudulent activity

12. Liability Disclaimers and Limitations

• Trading forex and CFDs carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors
• Past performance does not guarantee future results
• Vault Markets is not responsible for any trading losses incurred during the competition
• Participation in the competition is entirely voluntary
• Vault Markets shall not be liable for any technical issues beyond its reasonable control

13. Regulatory Compliance and Governing Law

• This competition is organized in compliance with South African financial regulations
• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa
• Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa

14. Publicity and Data Usage

• By participating, winners consent to their name/username being published on leaderboards
• Vault Markets may use winner information for promotional purposes
• Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy
